About Das

Who is a Das ?

In Sanskrit, Das means “servant” or “devotee.” In the path of bhakti, every soul is a Das of Shri Krishna —a humble servant walking toward Him with folded hands and an open heart.

This journal speaks not only to one individual’s journey but to the spirit of every Das. It is a sacred space where reflections, struggles, and moments of clarity are shared—not as teachings, but as humble offerings.

Each word carries the hope of resonating with another seeker, another Das, who is also yearning to return home to Shri Hari.

The Krishna Journal was born from a simple desire: to share those precious light-bulb moments, the quiet whispers of the soul, and the sudden insights that arise when reflecting on Shri Krishna and life’s deeper purpose.

Like many, my path has been shaped by both joy and sorrow—physical struggles, emotional wounds, and the weight of worldly attachments. For years, I wandered through different philosophies, teachings, and spiritual paths, but the answers always felt incomplete.

Duḥkhālayam Aśāśvatam

Everything changed when I truly encountered the Bhagavad Gita—particularly verse 8.15—which transformed how I understood life’s struggles.

I came to realize that much of my suffering stemmed from living disconnected from the way Shri Krishna has shown us to walk. Coming late to His divine words carries both profound loss and unexpected blessing—the ache of time that feels wasted, yet a deep gratitude for discovering their timeless wisdom when the heart was finally ready to receive it.

This space transcends my individual voice. It is meant to echo the collective voice of every Das of Shri Hari—every soul who feels the sacred call to surrender, to share, and to walk this ancient path together.

What you’ll find here are not sermons or proclamations, but gentle reflections: intimate experiences, flashes of divine understanding, and humble attempts to align more closely with Krishna’s eternal guidance.

If even one heart finds comfort, clarity, or inspiration in these words, then this sacred space has fulfilled its divine purpose.

Jivera svarupa haya krishnera nitya das — the constitutional nature of every soul is to be Krishna’s eternal servant, forever journeying home.
